Fruit Behind the Darkness

honduras-crusade-01 A photo can say so much! The photo below is from our crusade last month in La Paz, Honduras, and it expresses my heart as an evangelist in at least two ways: 1) Reaching the masses, which is expressed in the crowd in the background, and 2) Impacting the individual, which is expressed in the woman with her baby girl in the front. Notice the group of people in white shirts…those are the more than 400 police cadets who traveled from a regional Police Academy and sat together in a section of the stadium. Plus, another 80 cadets (some seen in the photo) were on the field in uniform serving as security. The follow-up continues in La Paz…so many individuals and families were touched through the crusade

Earlier this year my visa was rejected by the Indian Consulate because our last crusade in India had such a public impact for Jesus Christ. As a result, our February 2015 India Crusade was cancelled; however, in spite of being “blacklisted,” our ministry was still able to bear fruit behind the darkness of satanic Hinduism! Because of the support we receive from our supporters—people just like you—our ministry had 50,000 Salvation Tracts printed in India. During the crusade advance mobilization that took place before the crusade was canceled, our India crusade director traveled to the area of the crusade and distributed these tracts to 200 churches located in villages scattered throughout the region. We received testimonies from several village pastors. Here are two: I am so happy and thankful to you because you sent gospel tracts…many are calling and asking [for] prayer and salvation. Up to now ten members have taken baptism. I praise God.”“We are very much blessed by your tracts. Through [the] tracts we are able to reach every home. People are coming and asking about repentance and salvation. So far we got nine souls. I praise God for [this] work.

honduras-crusade-02Please join us in prayer for the next phase of church mobilization for our upcoming CRUSADE OF HOPE in Hobbs, New Mexico, September 13-16, 2015. I will be in Hobbs speaking at the pre-crusade Believers Rally, August 9. Then, our crusade director, Dr. Jim Coldiron, will be traveling to Hobbs again to conduct the Christian Life & Witness Course, August 10-11. Hundreds of Christians from local churches involved in the crusade will be equipped through this training in deeper intimacy with Christ, personal evangelism, and how to PRAY for, and INVITE, and BRING, non-Christians to the crusade. Plus, hundreds of local church members will be trained to be Crusade Counselors (like the man in the photo to the right from our recent Honduras crusade) who will talk to, and pray with, and fill out Decision Cards for, each person who commits to Christ during the crusade. Then, the Follow-up Chairman takes the decision cards and meets with the church leaders to begin the post-crusade follow-up system. For those of you in the Hobbs, NM area who want to be involved in the crusade advance training, you can get information and sign up on the crusade website at www.crusadeofhope.org, or email info@crusadeofhope.org, or call 575-318-1467.

Your Support & Prayers are making a global impact—Thank You!

Police Cadets follow Jesus

What a glorious sight it was—one I will remember forever—the stadium had thousands of people in the stands, and hundreds more on the field, who had come to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ (photo below)! God brought over 20,000 people to hear the message of THE CROSS during our Regionwide Stadium Crusade in La Paz, Honduras, April 17-18th! Because of the generous support we received from you, our ministry friends, we were able to rent 150 buses and trucks! These vehicles traveled throughout a 50-mile radius, bringing people to the crusade from across the entire region. The stadium was located in a rural area and had no lights or electricity (which can leave photos dark and spotty), so we brought in a generator and lights. Our crusade team and the local churches did a tremendous job organizing this event!

Police Cadets follow Jesus1Without a doubt, many lives were changed! Here is one of the stories we received: a police training academy containing 1,000 police cadets was in the region. A woman involved in the crusade mobilization, who had a connection to the academy, worked with the crusade committee in sending buses to bring cadets who were interested in attending the crusade. Over 400 police cadets came to the crusade and over 40 made a public commitment to Christ! The photo below shows one of the cadets, who also served as security during the crusade, talking with, and giving his contact information to, one of the crusade counselors/ushers. These counselors (which they called “ushers” for this particular crusade) were trained in advance by our Latin Crusade Director, Pastor Victor Almendarez. The ushers came forward at the public invitation to talk with, and to fill out “Decision Cards” for, every person who made a decision for Jesus Christ…hundreds of people repented and accepted Jesus Christ for salvation and also hundreds of Christians made rededications!

In total, we saw over 800 people make a public decision for Jesus Christ during the crusade! The local churches who were involved in the crusade preparations, which began last fall, have now begun the follow-up and spiritual nurturing of every person who made a decision to follow Jesus. Please, say a prayer for the Holy Spirit to work in, and to empower, and to transform from the inside out, these new Christians and the Christians who made rededications to Christ!

Police Cadets follow Jesus2As I shared recently, this was a dream of mine I have had for the past 25 years that has now come true…to conduct a stadium crusade! This was our first, and God willing, not our last, stadium crusade. What a joy it has been to be able to share this special experience with you, our loving and faithful ministry partners! The Lord used US—you and our ministry team—and when we are all together in Heaven it is going to be awesome to see all that God did through us…together we are making an eternal difference! Thank you for your caring prayers and your financial support!

Eternally yours,

HOBBS, NM Crusade–From Mud Churches to Arenas!

What a journey it has been following Jesus and serving in His Great Commission of Global Evangelization! I never know where a door will open next through which God will send me to bring in a new harvest of souls. Around 25 years ago, soon after I became a Christian, my mom gave my brother and I personalized wall plaques containing our name and a Scripture. Mine said, “‘Scott, A Traveler“Go Into All the World and Preach the Gospel to Every Creature”’ (Mark 16:15). I haven’t stopped going since.

crusade-new-mexico1This journey of world evangelism started in 1990 when God sent me to Hachita, NM where, with great fear, I preached for the first time to 8 people in a little Baptist Church. This journey then sent me to preach on the streets of South Africa, and into the schools of the Philippines, and to the radical Hindus of India, and to heartbroken prostitutes on Copacabana Beach in Brazil, and to tiny underground churches in mainland China, and many other fascinating places. Years ago, in the bush of Kenya, I remember preaching in a church made of mud (photo to the left) with cobwebs and spiders above me as I proclaimed the message of Jesus Christ to the few dozen people in attendance. Whether it be to Tanzania to reach a Maasai tribe, or to Haiti to proclaim Light to those in the darkness of Voodoo, or to Hong Kong using baseball to communicate the Gospel, or to Honduras where we will go next month, or…

…after waiting 25 years, God has finally opened the door to conduct my first Arena Crusade in the United States of America! Later this year, September 13-16, 2015, we will conduct a Regionwide Crusade in Hobbs, New Mexico. I actually grew up 240 miles southwest of Hobbs in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is another long-time dream of mine to come true recently…reaching my own people in New Mexico—in the United States of America—with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through highly organized, regionwide, interdenominational, evangelistic crusades! Preparations have begun in Hobbs, and God has blessed our ministry with an experienced Crusade Director, Dr. Jim Coldiron, a crusade consultant with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Please, pray for Jim as he mobilizes the local churches involved in this evangelistic event. Also, pray for wisdom, guidance, and spiritual power for the local Crusade Committee Chairman, Mr. Kendall Goad, and for Dr. Susan Hill, the initiator of, and secretary for, the Hobbs Crusade.

crusade-new-mexico2For those of you who live in New Mexico and West Texas (or anywhere for that matter)…come join us in Hobbs, New Mexico, September 13-16, 2015, at the Lea County Event Center (photo below)! Please, join us in spreading the word to all the churches and Christians in New Mexico to pray for this crusade! Join us in praying for  REVIVAL & SPIRITUAL AWAKENING to break out in Hobbs that will transform lives—and their community—for Jesus Christ…to then have revival spread throughout New Mexico…and throughout the United States!

For New Mexico, America, and the World,

God opens and shuts doors!

hindu-in-indiaGod opens and shuts doors! Because the Lord is all knowing HE has chosen to shut the door for our Regionwide Crusade that was to take place next week, February 9-10, in India. A few weeks before I was to leave, the India consulate rejected my visa due to “previous activities.” In other words, the last Crusade we conducted in India (see video clip on our website) had such an impact for Jesus Christ that we have been “blacklisted” from India. I was ready to go and preach The Cross and see many Hindus, like the lady in the photo, meet Jesus! Yet, we, and the 200 churches in 41 villages we had been working with, surrender to God’s will. And, we move on.

In 2014, our ministry received $80,806 in donations. We are grateful to God for this support! Yet, this amount is down from the year before when in 2013 we received $104,000 of support. Our goal is to have a minimum of $250,000 support each year. I am praying and asking God specifically for an increase of $170,000 this year that will take us to the minimum goal of $250,000. Reaching this goal means we will accept more invitations for Crusades in more countries around the world! Plus, reaching this goal means we will conduct our Crusades (pre & post church mobilizations) on a higher level; which means we will reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ; which means we will see more people accept Jesus Christ; which means we will be able to place more new Christians into the local churches we work with; which means—ultimately—we will see more disciples made that will be sent out into the harvest field of God’s Great Commission of Global Evangelization. THIS YEAR, and beyond, in several cities around the world, doors have opened for us to conduct STADIUM & ARENA CRUSADES, such as in Reina del Cisne Stadium in Loja, Ecuador, seen in the photo below. God willing, and as He provides, this year we will conduct my first Stadium & Arena Crusades…fulfilling a chronic “intangible” vision/dream engraved into my heart 25 years ago in 1990 when God first called me to be an evangelist, when I was the janitor at the Baptist Student Union of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, my hometown. I am praying that our friends who believe in this ministry will help us to conduct our Crusades around the world through which we will reach thousands of people with the message of The Cross!

stadium-crusadeMy prayers: 1) For the Lord to call the Christians who hear about and know about our ministry, but are not yet contributing, to begin helping us financially; 2) For the Lord to call our current financial partners to increase their monthly, or quarterly, or annual giving; And, 3) For the Lord to call MAJOR donors forward, those who have been blessed by God and are in a “unique” financial position…those who desire to play an extraordinary financial role in our ministry of winning thousands of people to Jesus Christ each year! I have been praying the Lord will give a CONVICTION OF DESIRE to certain people, and offer them the privileged opportunity to give a gift of $5,000, or $10,000, or $25,000, or $50,000, or $100,000, or $250,000, or $1,000,000, or more, to our cause of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people around the world as possible. What level is on your heart to help…how many people—literally—do you desire to see turn to Jesus Christ this year?

Our annual BENEFIT DINNER is February 20, 2015, at Houston’s First Baptist Church! If you are in the Houston area you are invited to join us for a good meal and to see details of where the Lord is taking our ministry! For information contact us at info@scottnute.org or call 713-277-8638. Thank you for your prayerful consideration!

For the lost masses,

Looking back on a year of ministry

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope this will be the most fulfilling and fruitful year of your life and ministry! Before I share with you about our upcoming ministry events for this year, let me share with you how last year ended:

newsletter001Our ministry concluded December 5-7 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is one of the most dynamic cities the Lord has ever sent me to preach the Gospel. The photo to the left was taken from the hotel room I stayed in…the view was breathtaking! I spent hours watching from the window and praying over this beautiful city that desperately needs the Savior of the world—Jesus Christ!

We worked with a church that had two locations in different parts of the city. The pastor and church leaders prayed and prepared these two congregations for several months and their hard work was blessed by the Lord! The church members took this opportunity seriously and applied the OPERATION ANDREW strategy our ministry uses for our crusades, which is where Christians are mobilized to PRAY for, and INVITE, and BRING non-Christians and un-churched Christians to the crusade. The two congregations of this one church together has about 300 people in their Sunday services. As a result of their prayer and bringing people to this crusade, 500 people attended this unique one-night Crusade Event held in a public theatre (photo below), which means approximately 40% of those attending were visitors! God moved in great power and 70 people made a public decision for Jesus Christ! The church had an immediate follow-up system in place that is now in full motion to help make disciples of the new believers and the Christians who rededicated to God! Here are some testimonies:

newsletter002One lady in the church, who prayed for and invited some of her friends and family to attend the crusade, saw two people she invited make life-changing choices. Her sister, a Christian already, attended the crusade and came forward to publicly rededicate her life to Jesus! A second woman, an acquaintance, came forward to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior! This woman had been struggling with depression and after the crusade service she talked to, and prayed with, the lady who invited her to the crusade, and this helped her begin processing the depression she had been “stuck” in. A third person who made a commitment to Christ said this, “Today I can say that my past life will only be a memory to me and will serve as an example of how God can restore my heart, my family, and my life!”

Your prayers and support helped our ministry to end last year impacting lives in Argentina—Thank You! We begin this New Year of ministry next month in India…may more lives be changed forever!

For a New Year of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

Scott Nute
